Bio and Statement

I have been painting since I was a child. However, in my early adult years, I left my passion to pursue many career paths, one being a pastry chef. Many years later, I started painting again just for fun while looking for a job (I changed career paths at this point). I discovered creating was a huge stress reliever. During that time, I fell in love with it, as a result, it was something I wanted to continue doing. I spend a lot of time outdoors in nature which is displayed in my art. I love nature and everything to with nature. I enjoy the outdoors: bushwalking, mountain biking, kayaking and swimming. I also like photographing interesting subjects like mushrooms, animals, flowers and just about anything that can be could in the wild! I have also enjoyed painting from as long as I can remember! I even taught art at high school when the teacher was absent which became a regular habit. As a result, many of my pieces are about nature and the environment. Spending much time in nature, I have developed a consciousness and love for the environment. In return, I would like to bring awareness to others of how precious our environment truly is. This is represented in my artwork. Hopefully, together as a community we can do our part to preserve our environment so future generations can reap the benefits!
