Jack Biilmann grew up in Pambula Beach on the south coast of New South Wales and quickly discovered he had an ear for music. His natural ability shone as while he finished school and culminated in 2011 in forming ska punk band The Second Hand Salmon. After much deliberation Biilmann decided to pursue opportunities as a solo artist, in February 2015 Myself To Blame was released. The record is the product of the hard work and tenacity of one of Australia’s fastest rising young guitarists, a blend of blues, roots and grounded folk, Myself To Blame shines a light on Biilmann’s versatility as a songwriter and his prowess as a guitarist. The last year has seen Biilmann play over a hundred live shows while sharing the stage with some of the country’s biggest artists including Ian Moss, Sarah Mcleod (The Superjesus), Mat Mchugh(The Beautiful Girls), Jay Whalley ( Frenzal Rhomb), Bootleg Rascal, and Kim Churchill, as well as performing as part of the ACT’s showcase at BIGSOUND, Australia’s national music industry conference.
